The program was developed jointly with the Department of Psychology and Social Activities of the Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv.
The program teaches to identify the individual resources of a person and involves an internship at a partner university, master’s thesis under the guidance of professors from both sides and the possibility of obtaining an European diploma. Program is developed according to the modular principle, according to which the modules correspond to generalized labor functions of the educational psychologist professional standard. The program includes a theoretical part, practical exercises, research work, educational, industrial and pre-graduate practice, state final certification.
By the end of the program, you will have the skills:
- to determine professionally competently and ethically identify individual resources of the individual;
- to carry out various forms of prevention at the risk of deviations in the behavior of adolescents, as well as optimization of their psychosocial and personal development;
- to design individually oriented programs: development of personality strengths, character and abilities of children and adolescents; correction of deviations in development; psychological sustainability;
- to organize a productive interaction with the family on the positive development of children and adolescents.
Graduates of the program will be able to work in schools, kindergartens, orphanage centers, counseling centers, centers of psychological, pedagogical and medical help, state and charitable organizations helping various categories of the population.
The master of psychology in educational psychology also provides access to doctoral programs in psychology both locally and overseas.
