The first master’s program in Russia for the training of professionals with wide scientific knowledge on problems of psychological and pedagogical support for individuals with ASD. The program is developed taking into account the global trends in diagnostics, psychological and pedagogical assistance.
Due to the high prevalence of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and the system of inclusive education developing in Russia, the specialists of psychological and pedagogical service often meet children with ASD in educational institutions. Adaptation of such students has some difficulties due to their special features of communication and socialization, cognitive and affective development, as well as due to the presence of maladaptive forms of behavior.
Program aims at training competent specialists in education and correctional assistance for children with ASD. Such specialists have special professional training on development problems, diagnostic methods, methods of organizing correctional and educational work.
By the end of the program, students can use theoretical knowledge, traditional and alternative techniques of psychological and pedagogical work for students with ASD. The training program follows a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to the training of specialists. Graduates are able to develop and successfully implement individual correctional programs and adapted basic educational programs, to create special learning conditions, to use alternative communication systems for working with students with ASD.
Graduates are required in the field of preschool and school education as educational psychologists, specialists of correctional and developmental learning. As for example, the following places are available: psychological offices of centers for rehabilitation, correction and development; state and not state charitable foundations; social organizations helping people with ASD.

Module 8. Modern techniques for the correction of developmental impairments in autism spectrum disorders.
