The program “Cognitive Psychology” is aimed at the development of future specialists in the following areas of professional work: research, consulting, expert diagnostics. A unique feature of the educational program is the focus on training specialists to solve scientific problems related to the study of cognitive processes using hardware and instrumental methods (e.g. in healthcare, public assistance, etc.).
The aim of the program is to provide:
- high-quality professional training of professionals with competencies in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education 37.04.01 “Psychology”, the requirements for graduates in the labor market, the competencies recommended by prominent employers, associations of employers in the field;
- development of students’ qualities and competencies that allow them to be professionally and personally successful.
Graduates of the EP are preparing to carry out tasks of research, consulting, expertise and diagnostics in the professional sphere. The program is aimed at establishing theoretical and methodological foundations of scientific research in the field of cognitive psychology; shaping skills in the application of objective methods for registration of psychological indicators of cognitive processes; mastering computer modeling methods, methods of neurophysiological data analysis; shaping skills of applying complex methods of quantitative and qualitative assessment of behavior; shaping the skills of academic writing and research work preparation and presentation.
The post-graduate is prepared to carry out research using a wide range of hardware and instrumental methods for studying the cognitive processes of the psyche.
The post-graduate conducts research, consultative, expert and diagnostic work aimed at solving complex psychological problems. The post-graduate is able to organize and achieve research goals using a wide range of hardware and instrumental methods aimed at studying the cognitive processes of the psyche, which is a relevant and in-demand professional capacity to fulfil social and personal tasks. The post-graduate has the skills to carry out an expert diagnostic assessment based on modern hardware methods, using the skills of qualitative and quantitative data processing; can carry out consultative work using the latest equipment (virtual programs, neurophysiological complexes, etc.)

EP is distinguished by a high level of integration of theoretical and research activities, deep immersion of the post-graduate in academic activities, including grants and planned research of the Institute of Experimental Psychology.
Post-graduates can work in organizations of the educational system (in preschool, primary, basic general, secondary general education, vocational training, vocational education, extra-curriculum education), research psychological institutions (including those subordinate to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation , the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Russian Federation), social organizations, etc.

In addition to the competencies acquired in accordance with the federal state educational standard of 37.04.01 Psychology, students will master the following professional competencies:
- Ability to analyze and systematize the results of scientific and methodological research in the field of cognitive psychology;
- Ability to determine the prospects for the development of research work in psychology, taking into account the cognitive paradigm;
- Ability to provide psychological assistance and carry out psychological counseling of social groups and individuals who find themselves in a difficult life situation; develop programs of psychological support for persons experiencing psychological difficulties in various spheres of life;
- Ability to describe the structure of cognitive processes and evaluate their models, taking into account the classical theories of knowledge and the current state of the field;
Ability to diagnose and model the functioning of cognitive processes in AI systems using modern hardware methods and psychological technologies.

Part 3 “State final assessment”
